Merry Christmas

The car was stopped at a traffic light and across the street the house was in extreme lights. A plastic Santa popped up and down a plastic chimney in the grass, the tree was visible through the windows. It rotated, the lights blinked. The front lawn had every blade of grass decorated. I think it would give me nightmares. Good night.

Pizza Committee

The Pizza Committee had a dress rehearsal today for our Pizza Christmas Party. Each one of us will be a slice of pizza. Our pizza song is still a disaster because of the sound system: Pizza, pizza, slice, slice, if you don't like pizza eat rice. It gets very complicated because nobody can carry a tune. I think our boss will fall off the chair laughing or slice his throat with the pizza cutter. Merry Christmas.

Another busy day

Krebs was here and it was fun as usual. Where do we end up in heaven? The many rooms and the proximity just does not make sense when one thinks there is no time and space. However, if there is a room, dear God, I want a room with a view.

First Snow

First snow. Everything peaceful. Everything white. Everything clean. Everything soft. I have a dog and his name is "New Jerusalem." New Jerusalem went out with a new coat. Not white, pink.

Made in China

I took a recent trip to southern Blissful County. They Amish live there. Bought a lovely Amish plate. Came home, turned it over, read: "Made in China." Oy-veh.

Twinkle, Twinkle Big Star

Mr. Rock Star visited us. It was quite a visit and all went well. The nun and I took him back to the airport and we had a great talk with him: Theology, typology, planology. I am happy that I got to know him some years back. He is still trying to meet two people I know but they are not that interested in meeting him. Sad but true.
