Picture a tree that is very wide, not too high with a big, wide canopy of leaves and a bench that is circular and goes around it. I can never picture the table clearly but there is also a table. There sit two women. One is called Elizabeth and one is called Mary. They don't knit but they work with their hands. It looks more like they are making lace or working on lace. It is an absolutely lovely setting. Rural and peaceful. It speaks of holy friendship. It is a wonderful gift to give and to receive. The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth is my favorite segment in the rosary. It is a scene where I could be for hours. Mary's voice is higher than that of Elizabeth although I do not know what they are saying to each other. Mary's voice is that of a clear, high bell. Elizabeth's voice is deeper but not too deep. It is also very pleasant. They talk but they are happy just being in each other's company and they enjoy each other. There is trust and love and understanding. Sheer bliss.
