Sunday Mass

What does it mean to you? I am in a parish that has a lot of young kids and the distractions can be endless. While I am there I don't feel necessarily uplifted but often I do. The main point is that the effects of the Mass carry me throughout the week. The grace of God enters into my life. I have consumed the Body and Blood of Christ and know He is with me and I am in Him. There have been saints who have been so blessed that they ran to Mass. They had that special connection to the Eucharist that was irresistable for them. I have to drag myself out of bed like million of other ordinary people. Yet, I will do it. The redemption is in Christ but for the salvation I have to get out of bed. Sunday Mass keeps the soul alive. In fact, it is the Eucharist that keeps me in the Catholic Church. God obeys man at Mass. It is neat to watch. Watch when the priest calls down the Holy Spirit. Biggest miracle of them all, every week. Why? For the love of you and me.
