Thanksgiving Preparations

I went for the turkey this afternoon. The parking lot was filled and I ended up a mile away at the front of the book store. That was too tempting. I went there first. To my surprise it was crowded. I figured the people who got invited and did not have to cook decided to go to the bookstore to do a little bit of Christmas shopping. Finally I ended up at the grocery store. Like Hitler invaded Russia. Six wide and eight deep - body to body. Everyone was in a good mood, however. I got a fresh turkey breast. For two people that is enough. Wonder what they do with the rest of the turkey? I am cooking the sweet potatoes right now and the squash is in the oven. Yes, everything will be from scratch and fresh. My shoulder is one of those on and off things right now, except I am not in charge of the switch. It hurts like hell in the morning and once I start chewing pills I get some relief. Yes, I will visit Mr. Seligman on Friday. Would not miss it. We had quite a few people at morning Mass and lots of children. Very nice and very noisy as it is supposed to be. Pastor blessed the Thanksgiving baskets. People brought a lot of wine bottles in. I thought that was funny. Blessed are the drunks!
