A new day

This morning I went to the local SS office. I am about to attain the holy age of being able to receive Medicare. I am as old as Moses. Moses got the ten commandments and somewhere it states that you will receive Medicare if you get real, real old. They keep messing around with the years when one is entitled to this benefit. Each year one has to get older to receive Medicare. Pretty soon it will be a post mortem benefit. There were already 10 people in line at opening time when I arrived at the SS office. I had a forty minute wait without an appointment which was not bad. I had taken my passport along but they wanted my birth certificate. Never had one. There was a war, remember? So tomorrow I have to go back - with an appointment - and show them my naturalization certificate. My friend from the Big Herod's parish died last Saturday. Same day that the branch manager's father died. Now both have the same viewing times and funeral Masses but at different locations. I think the Lord had his hand in this so I would not have to go to the Big Herod's Mass for my friend.
Fr. Wolfgang must be walking on water this morning because his football won the Super Bowl yesterday. I watched it in honor of mother. It was a good game but I am not that interested in sports. If anything, I can get more worked up for soccer.
