Folks - for the first time I saw one of these beasts. I did not even know they existed. This thing was HUGE. The shell was as big as my forearm, the head the size of a man's fist, a tail as long as my upper arm. It tried to take a nap at the side of the road. Two cyclists dismounted and encouraged it to move on and did it ever come alive then, SNAPPING. They can live to age 70 and weigh up to 200 lbs. The one I saw weighed probably 60 lbs. easily.
