Cornus contoversa 'Variegata'

Sounds majestic, doesn't it? Well, I ordered it from a mail order catalog and it came today. A little twig with a a few branches. By the time I unwrapped it from all the plastic and tape I had already broken off two twigs. It got planted tonight. Look it up. If it survives it should be stunning. If it survives that is. BIG IF. I found that the best buys are from a little corner shop on the way to the branch office. They have the same supplier as our super duper store on the other side of town which also has a 200% mark-up. I got some great hydrangeas and two dogwoods for a fraction of the price at that little store. I have sworn that I stay away from the mail order catalogs. OK, OK the picture was too tempting.
