A Day with Fr. Valeria
I "hung" today with Fr. Valeria. He will be 88 soon. Hard to imagine. I picked him up and we first went to a bookstore out here. We both love books. Then we went to a Thai restaurant for lunch and finally my home and I showed him the garden and then he saw the new puppy for the first time. He loves the dogs and the dogs love him. We made plans to see shows in fall and winter. He is not travelling to Quatelozotle this winter. Showed him some pictures about his friar friends and himself from a recent meeting. He does not have a computer. I had him back at his home by 4:30 p.m. - early enough for evening prayer and then I drove back home. There was an accident which slowed things down. Fed and walked the dogs. Then said the family rosary with them. We all settle down in and around an easy chair for that. Time for some reading and more prayer. Two people are really sick and I want to pray for them all the time.
