So many things

A friend had invited me to a 4th of July party right on the river. We went to Mass at the Church of the Perpetual Helpless which is just around the corner from my friend's house. I had Australian lamb which was very good. The whole evening was very nice but the bugs bit mercilessly as dusk arrived. Around 9 p.m. I left and on the way home I saw fireworks from different directions. At my house I just could hear a lot of booms which did not seem to bother the dogs at all. They were all outside and peed and then I went to bed and started another book. Today the grandchildren will stay here for two days. I will probably take them sightseeing tomorrow. Today we might take a boat tour. Heloise talked to the Big Herod this morning. Well, Heloise, I sometimes think that the Big Herod likes to hear himself talk, be in the middle of decision making, but in the end prefers his golden cage and nothing will happen. If and when something will happen with him it will be too little and certainly too late.
