Prayers

We had one of those 40 Days for Life prayer days. One very nice and pious lady organized it and I went, too, for an hour of adoration. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon. We prayed the rosary, various other prayers and the Angelus. The Angelus at 3:30 p.m? At which time it just sounded to me that we were just rattling off prayers. OK OK in the big scheme of things it was just a very minor irritation but certain prayers have their special time and presence during the day and it did not fit. I guess I am getting too old for "anything goes" kind of prayer at 3:30 p.m. I should have taken a nap instead.
