Running around

Today I went to France where they celebrated a special Mass in honor of the Year of the Priest. It was lovely. Much running around today. Got some more books. Is anyone who knows me really surprised? I am reading part of the Aramaic Bible. The footnotes are superb. The Bible Class is doing great. The people are attending and I have a full house. One of the brown hoods called and wanted to know what I am doing in my bible class. He decided to do the same course. I sent him the books. My spiritual director is also in this equestrian stable. He said he had a cape and something else to sell - cheaply. He does not go to the meetings any longer. The bishops fight over the spots to give retreats to those people and the meetings themselves are fashion shows. So hear, hear Rabbi Seligmann. I decided to make up my own very exclusive group. The Pedestrian Order of the Holy Penitents. Pee-pee for short. No horse, no little cape and beret but VERY exlusive.

Visitor from Canada

We had a visitor from Canada yesterday who does placements. I wonder what is going on. The branch manager is still mum about it. I might get to know some details tomorrow. We have done away with our special cheese. No more Emmentaler. The people who made Emmentaler are out of business. The branch manager is happy. For some of us it has meant just too many sticky fingers handling the Emmentaler. I can't say I miss the Emmentaler.

Knights and Horses

Fr. Zee told me this morning that the Big Herod was also made a Knight. I thought this knight thing was for men of integrity. I can see the Rabbi running around on a horse but the Big Herod? No way.
