Christmas Cheer

I spent Christmas with my Aussie friends yesterday. They also know how to spread the good cheer plus they have crackers. You pull these tubes apart that look like fancy toilet paper rolls and a gift jumps out and wisdom. Yes, lots of wisdom. "What do penguins ride?" Answer: "Ice-cycles." Little Fritz got a workout and some real meat. He had to inspect everything. Came home and had a crown on my head. Paper crown.....I am staying in today but tomorrow I will drive my friends to Mt. Vernon for some colonial Christmas cheer there. Let the Aussies smell the Potomac River. That will be the highlight of my contribution. Me to them: I will show you this new watering hole tomorrow. They are going to be mightily surprised that the Potomac River is not a bar.

Breakfast and downhill from there

This morning I invited everyone at our branch out for breakfast. It was not planned. We had a good time. The branch manager had to sit next to Ms. Fritchley but they did not kill each other. Thought I had an appointment in France today - actually in the Atlantic - and when I got there, I looked at my papers, it said the appointment is on December 30th. Was I happy! Five hours in traffic for nothing.
I finished reading a book on the Valois kings. Makes sense after finishing a book about the Tudors. Both reigned approximately at the same time but one in England and the other in France - and fought each other constantly. Now I got to find a good book on the Bourbon kings. That is the next dynasty coming up in France. The last Valois king was murdered by a Dominican. Ha, ha.

I found a literary heirloom

Found an old webpage design when web pages where in its infancy about 15 years ago. I mailed the link to various friends today. I did not even know it was still on a server. The English could be better but its still good overall.

The Carolers

The carolers where just here. Lovely. A neighbor organizing them and usually gives a party. Tonight they just sang. I had some cookies which I distributed to all of them for their efforts. The dogs were quiet except Fritz who wanted to join them. I held him in my arms while we all sang.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Rabbi Seligman, Heloise, Nun and other assorted people who will read this and will scratch their heads what it all means. I have not blogged in a while. I will try to get into it again.

Christmas 2009

Our branch manager is leaving. I think he was never totally committed to us and is happy to move one. I liked him but a lot of people did not. A complicated character. I wonder if we are going to get another branch manager now. Canada wants us to build a bigger factory. Wishful thinking if they can't manage the branch managers better.

Hello again

I HAVE been busy. The branch manager is travelling to the old country to help some friends ship some old cars over here which are antiques. They are collector items here. So he is practicing his old country dialect. We also have an efficiency expert running around trying to figure out if we can build a bigger building. Common sense tells you we can't but we need to spend 10 grant to tell us that.
