The Fireplace insert

I got two estimates for a fireplace insert. My heating bill went through the roof last winter although I tried to keep the house relatively cool. So one estimate came in a ~ $5,000 and one at ~ $6,000. Not the kind of change I have any longer since the recession flattened me. So I cancelled my life insurance today. This will pay for the fireplace AND the estimated taxes in September. Feel pretty good.
