An elderly Monseignor sat next to me once. He dropped his papers and I dutifully picked them up. That was enough. "You are my buddy, " he declared. From then on he searched me out and sat next to me at every lecture. At one Mass, as he processes in with twenty other priests, he playfully punched me in the arm! I had an aisle chair and he could do that. God has a sense of humor. I though I was finished with elderly priests.
