My favorite time of the week. First of all there is Mass and then we have adoration. What I find so interesting the the Rabbi can call God down on the altar. Imagine that power! And what really, really gets to me is that God NEVER refuses. He comes. Now if I were God, I would look down on the Rabbi and say: My heavenly mattress is too comfortable this morning and I ain't coming down.
God is humble and obeys the Rabbi every time and comes. It is a spectacle/miracle that leaves me bug eyed watching the Rabbi's hands. Now that is during Mass. Then comes Adoration. Adoration is wonderful. Just to sit there in this peaceful environment and thinking: There HE is! That is all: There HE is. I also like adoration at the temple because there are no bad memories associated with this temple. I still substitute at another temple and it took great determination not to run away the first few times I went. They have a new oratory with a lock at the front door and a regulation book that is an inch thick. The pastor with the yellow fangs built it and it has his name and is called " Father .... Spiritual Life Center." I consider it the Spiritual Death Center. Once the new oratory was opened they stopped using the chapel. The chapel was lovely and without locks and regulations books. I loved to go there because mother loved it, too. Well, in the new chapel at my new temple, adoration is a million times better for me. It is the emotions, too. Absolutely no yellow fangs visible.
