End of cucumbers

There are still lots of them but they taste all wooden. Even the little ones. The sign of a tired worn out plant. Tomatoes are still good and so is the acorn squash. I have not checked my peppers lately. I planted a lot of hot ones. What to do now? What do I do with a life time supply of hot peppers? I could supply all of South America with hot peppers.
