I started my day at the Diner at seven a.m. and not stop until midnight.....It was a marathon day.
Before temple service the California woman tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if she had time to go to the bathroom. I wanted to ask: How long to you intend to pee? I tried not to laugh out loud and nodded my head and she left. She got back in time. An hour into adoration she approached me again and this time told me she was going to the bathroom - she would be right back. She did come back but "right" has a different definition in my vocabulary.
Went up to Canada to visit with an old friend who promptly put me on the liturgical committee for one of the Jewish holidays coming up in fall. She is in charge. I don't think they every had a Catholic help building a Sukkot in their reform temple. I was just ready to relax back at home when the nun called. She had a rare opportunity to go out. Took her for an overdue birthday dinner - again crabs - and then we saw The Help. Fr. Valhalla would be proud of me. I saw the movie twice now and since the lights went out because of a storm outside and we had a 10 minute unintended intermission they started the movie almost at the beginning again. So I saw sections THREE times. Fr. Valhalla you always told me that you liked to see a movie three times in you old age. I always thought that that would never happen to me. It's coming faster than I thought.
