Mass with Irene

Went to Mass on Saturday. The Rabbi made me sit up front. Suddenly I notice that the orchids were gone. They looked straggly from a distance. Never really liked them. Then I noticed the green plant on the right of the altar looked funny. You know the look: the dying look and that right on the altar. After Mass I asked for permission to check and it had a weird leaf curl but was OK. Perhaps someone had watered it during the day and it tried to come back to life. I grew up in the country and am a gardener. Plus I had a gardener as a mentor. He died a few years back and his dog died right after him and before the family put him in that Catholic Mausoleum, they added the dog's ashes to the man's ashes. Now this is supreme eco-friendly gardening in my book.
