Morning temple service

Our Rabbi announced that he had nothing but rain on his vacation in a foreign country. Same here. The Rabbi should have gone to Las Vegas. It does not rain there or rarely.
This morning a lady pulled me aside after temple services and asked if she should go to her doctor who is a Buddhist. Would anything demonic attack her by going there? I assured her that nothing would attack her because he/she is a Buddhist. She also said that she turned down a potential tenant because he professed to be a Buddhist and wanted to chant in the morning. I would draw the line there as well. Who wants an early morning chanter in the house. Bad enough the dogs bark.
I told her to sprinkle some Holy Water around in her house but NOT by the bucket. Just a little. She liked the idea. So we left it at that. OK Rabbi Seligman - here is a nice person, charismatic, who has no place to go with her concerns. Down the line a little charismatic prayer group would not hurt. No, you don't have to supervise. There are others who can.
