Silent

This was a silent retreat. I loved it. I found a book in the library on Pierre Teilhard de Cardin and could not put it down. These were his letters home from Cairo from 1905 to 1908. I learned more about Cairo than I could have learned from any history book. I could read during all the meals and did not have to make small talk. The last small talk was at Friday evening's dinner and I could have killed the woman opposite me. She claimed that Social Security is falling apart because of abortions. It was so stupid I did not have an answer.
