Morning Prayer

The queen conducted the morning prayer. She did a lovely job after she was reminded that today was Friday and not Thursday. She even came through with a very nice homily.
Before morning prayer one of the ladies bemoaned the fact that not all hours were covered for adoration today. I told her that if a person has to leave and there is no replacement, a veil is put over the monstrance in some churches. She loved the idea and I thought she would run it by the pastor. Imagine my surprise that at the end of the morning prayer she announced that the monstrance could be covered with the red cover at hand. I talked to her later and told her to make sure to talk to the pastor about this and if he agrees we could pitch in for a little white silk veil. I know that the Church of the Seven Flags handles it that way and they got it from one of my Steubengrille instructors. And the Steubengrille instructors are conservative and know everything.
