I went to my temple and picked up two families: one father, mother and daughter team and one father and daughter team and we took off. Surprise, surprise now there is a fence before the sidewalk running along the sidewalk! I have never seen a fence that cuts off the sidewalk from the road. Once can use the parking lot but the homeless have a much more difficult time coming over and coming into the parking lot. The parking lot is open but one can only come in from the north or south. The line was huge. Ten dozen doughnuts came and went. I had a hug bag with sweat shirts and towels which was a great success.
We got to the main temple just before services. Ran into the high priest on the outside and I could introduce my group. Inside the Candidates and Catechumens were accepted. The sponsors were asked to make crosses all over them - from the tip of their hair to their feet. I have never seen this done before like this but it was interesting to watch. Today was also the Holy Name Society day. It was not that big as last year. I guess only men belong because only the dead men's names were called out. The Knights were there as well. Not the one with the horses, just the little knights.
