Little Bernie

I called Little Bernie yesterday. Wanted to know if he needed a ride to church this morning. He said he does not come to church on Thursdays. So I told him that it was a "MUST go day" in the liturgy. Feast of the Immaculate Conception. He needed to talk to his wife. She was in the shower. I went to see a sick friend. Came home and there was a message. They would both like to be driven to church this morning. No sweat. So went to pick them up this morning and he was there but not his wife. Wife did not feel good. Afterwards he asked me to drive him to 7-11 to get a newspaper. Was happy to do that because I needed my morning coffee. Got my coffee. When I came to the check-out, he had already paid for newspaper and coffee. What a sweet Little Bernie. Next pick-up date on Tuesday.
