Great Feast Day Coming Up

Feast of the Presentation of the Lord - First my Christmas tree comes down. Don't need my lights any longer that shone around the manger because the parents carry THE LIGHT into the temple and into the world. He's come out! The two people who see him are some of my most favorite figures. Anna from the tribe of Asher and the priest Simeon, presumably from the tribe Simeon. The north and the south  - all of Israel/Judea is united. Anna is old and prays all the time. What a gift old people have! They have the time to pray all the time. The priest Simeon welcomes the Light into the temple. Today the priest passes on this Light, which was received then, with every baptism. Can you hear the sound of the nine choirs of angels in the temple? Be still and listen.
