Some of you out here might be wondering WHAT am I? I am Catholic, hanging in there day by day. Like many of you I have a few nasty priests around me, I am even dealing with a nasty bishop. There are also wonderful priests around me and that keep me anchored in the faith and there is the Truth itself. While I sometimes want to vomit when I encounter the hierarchy I readily admit there have been incredible blessings being Catholic. My advice to you who want to quit, HANG in there. If you leave, you might leave a few nasty people behind but the Catholic religion is much more than just the hierarchy. My current parish is wonderful although I have been through two that weren't. Look around - if I were to have trouble in a parish again, I most likely would travel a few miles more and go to Mass with the Dominicans and Capuchins whom we have here. Oh yes, yesterday I wanted to say to my bishop: "Screw you!" I did not. I am posting this because there are many, many people who can related to my situation. Your clicks will tell me if I am right.
