Schunkeln or Sway in English

The Germans do this a lot - especially during Carnival.
Sway is the name for a certain rhythmic movement to the beat of a song sung or music - usually in the 3-cycle.  The  participants hook their arms and move back and forth on the spot, often just sitting as the upper body moves. The swaying is practiced only in the German speaking countries and has a tradition here, especially during Carnival and at events with folk music.
