Here is the story

Woman's mother dies. She is in a lesbian relationship. Not the mother, she is dead. It is the woman. The priests finds out before the funeral Mass. Woman goes up to receive communion. Priest refuses to give her communion. Woman is outraged and wants the priest to be removed from the parish.

Let us look at this:
1. The Catholic church does not approve of active homosexual relationships. Any Catholic should or would know this. Why did this woman even think she could or should receive communion? The priest might have been just as surprised when she came up and, rather than crossing her arms to receive a blessing, held out her hand.
2. The woman did not tell the priest she and her partner lived like brother and sister, sorry, sister and sister, that is, CELIBATE! That would have made a difference. How is the priest to know? The priest was prudent.

Woman now tries to kill the messenger for trying to uphold  proper Catholic teaching.  Claims her parents did many things for this particular parish as though that entitled her to communion!

I wished more priest would act like this one.
